July Holidays

Updated: Jun 30

Did you know there is a holiday dedicated to excuse a little forgetfulness? Or perhaps, we just ‘forgot’ 😂 about this one? It’s National I Forgot Day’ all day Friday, July 2. Go ahead and save a few excuses and use them on the 2nd!

We won’t forget to celebrate July 4th, Independence Day! I’m remembering barbecues with children and pets everywhere. Not sure why our favorite place to eat was on the curb, but all of us were lined up there!

Even though I went to Culinary School and enjoy making Profiteroles and such, some favorite recipes come from a cookbook assembled by my mother. On July Fourth she always made ‘Judy’s Chicken (the recipes are posted on our blog) and a patriotic Jello dessert. Neither of which I learned in school but are still classics we enjoy. Super easy and you can try them out this year!

Have you heard about ‘Teddy Bear Picnic Day’? This sure sounds like a fun day to plan with the children in your life. Or ‘International Kissing Day’ and Christmas in July!

We are making this a week long celebration of CHRISTMAS IN JULY with a THIRTY PERCENT OFF SITE WIDE SALE BEGINNING TUESDAY JUNE 29 THROUGH JULY 7 !

Other holidays this month; ‘Cheer up Lonely Day’, which seems like it should be observed every day throughout the year. (Next week’s email comes with a gift for you or someone who could use some encouragement!)

There is ‘National French Fry Day’ and National Ice Cream Day ( due to a medical issue right now with my stomach, I have to eat almost a pint of ice cream every day for lunch. Seriously! )

To remember every month…

  • Birthdays

  • Anniversaries

  • Weddings

  • New Baby Boy or Girl

  • New Home

  • Retirement

  • Encouragement
